Sketchbook 2

I believe, art is a process and not a product. There is room for failure.

Starting to work with  a sketchbook has been a terrifying process. The pressures of the world of social media where artists sketchbooks have been filled with artworks where is isn’t a place to explore and fail and fail till you find yourself and your style.

It is the need to grow and shift my visual awareness that pushed me to start keeping and maintaining a sketchbook.

 

Focusing on the process - keeping it time bound, remembering that it is a process to record and collect ideas, and limiting my choice of materials have helped me with the process of discovery through keeping a sketchbook.
